...BRUCE CAMERON, who recently released his debut CD, "Midnight Daydream" on Brain Cell Records, committed suicide on October 16th. Cameron wrote and produced the CD and had assembled some of his all-time favorite musicians to perform on it, including JACK BRUCE, BUDDY MILES, BILLY COX, MITCH MITCHELL, MICHAEL BRUCE, NEAL SMITH, ANT-BEE, BUNK GARDNER, HARVEY DALTON ARNOLD and KEN HENSLEY. No word regarding the reason for Cameron's untimely death has been released...


...PUSH have almost completed "On the Run" their new CD due in early 2000. Some of the track titles include the title track, "One Reason," "Jokerman" and "Better Late Than Never"...

...MTV has added "Get Naked," the first video from TOMMY LEE's new band, METHODS OF MAYHEM. Due to its subject matter (Tommy Lee, "Get Naked" - get the picture?), the video will only be played in the evenings after 11:00 p.m. Guest stars in the video include MIXMASTER MIKE of the BEASTIE BOYS, FRED DURST of LIMP BIZKIT, GEORGE CLINTON and LIL' KIM. Of course, the video is edited (read "butchered") for television; however, you can see the entire video, as well as clips from the upcoming METHODS OF MAYHEM CD, at the band's website - http://www.methodsofmayhem.com. ...RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE will hit the road in support of their upcoming CD, "The Battle of Los Angeles," due in stores on November 2nd. ...KISS' "The Second Coming" video will finally be released to the DVD format. The DVD will contain bonus material including the complete "Shout It Out Loud" performance from Tiger Stadium in 1996, "Detroit Rock City" as performed at the premiere of the movie of the same name (tons and tons of pyro!) and "Shandi" from Australia, 1997. ...EMI Records will release "Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live" in celebration of the classic PINK FLOYD album's twentieth anniversary. The double-CD set includes a limited edition casebound book and new artwork by Storm Thorgerson as well as exclusive tracks not previously available on CD. Recorded on a 48-track mobile studio in London during the band's "The Wall" tour in 1979, "The Wall Live" will be in stores on December 1, 1999...


...THE WHO will reunite for a headlining gig at the end of October during the launching of a new internet entertainment company, the Pixelon Network (http://www.pixelon.com), in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel. Hosting the event, which is entitled "Bash 99" are David Spade and Cindy Margolis. ...GOLDFINGER will release "Darrin's Coconut Ass - Live from Omaha" on November 9th. This year, MCA Records will release "Jimi Hendrix: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year," a CD and vinyl single containing two versions of a never-before-released medley of holiday standards and a long out of print song. Three tracks are on the CD which is scheduled for release on November 9th. Included in the medley are "Little Drummer Boy," "Silent Night" and "Auld Lang Syne." A regular and an extended version of the medley are included on the CD. Also included is "Three Little Bears," a song never before available on CD. If that's not interesting enough, the cover art features Hendrix dressed as Santa Claus...
