In the midst of recording their latest album, the band was paid a visit by basketball superstar/rapper Shaquille O'Neal who added his rap over a new track. At the moment, Sean Beaven is the producer of record, with Mike Clink, Moby and Youth having been approached and/or assisted in the past. ...RAMMSTEIN will do a quick U.S. tour before heading back to the studio to record a follow-up to their Gold (soon to be platinum) recording "Sehnsucht" (click here to read our review). The band promises plenty of the pyrotechnics and powerful sound that have become their trademark. The tour begins June 1 in Washington DC and ends June 23 in Los Angeles. We'll post tour dates as soon as we have them (we've asked - but haven't received them yet). ...Got an idea on how to end hatred among students in high schools? Well, that's all you'll need to get into a series of five RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS concerts, scheduled to promote teen tolerance. Originally designed as a "High School Spirit" tour, the band and their promoters decided to change the theme after the atrocities committed at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado. Phil Manning, Program Director at KNDD-FM (107.7) in Seattle explains, "We were already in conversations with the Red Hot Chili Peppers to do a free concert for high school students, but then the situation in Colorado forced us to rethink it, because we thought that wasn't the proper message and we wanted to do something to raise positive awareness." Hence, students are now encouraged to send their individual ideas on how to end hate and promote respect, compassion and tolerance in their high schools."
