...Southern California-based metalheads take note: on Saturday, March 23 Hellfest 2002 will invade Whittier, CA. The show will be at the Ibiza Theater (formerly known as Q's). Hellfest 2002 will feature two stages of Southern California's finest metal bands and one major headliner. The show is scheduled to start at 2:00pm. The main stage features EXODUS, ABATTOIR, AGENT STEEL, SADISTIC INTENT, PROTOTYPE, NEW EDEN, CAGE, TEABAG, and PRIVATE PILE. The second stage features MUTILATION, INFAMY, ENGRAVE, PFR, RESISTANCE, DREAMS OF DAMNATION, CHEVA, and SCRAP METAL. ...The IRON MAIDEN charity singles for the Clive Burr MS Fund are now available. "Run To The Hills" is being released to raise funds for ex-band member Clive Burr after the band discovered that he is suffering from multiple sclerosis. All profits from the single sales will be going to the fund. The singles include never-before-released material from Clive's era with the band during their worldwide "Beast On The Road Tour" in 1982. CD1 features tracks recorded at the bands sell out show in Hammersmith while CD2 includes two tracks from their Reading Festival appearance the same year, which incidentally was the first UK performance by the then new-vocalist Bruce Dickinson...

...MY DYING BRIDE are to play their first London show in over two years on Saturday 27th April at The Mean Fiddler. My Dying Bride will be joined by special guests Rotting Christ. This show will be My Dying Bride's only UK show of the year. On April 22nd the release of the My Dying Bride DVD “For Darkest Eyes” will contain all of My Dying Bride's promo video's to date including ‘Symphonaire Infernus,’ ‘The Thrash Of Naked Limbs,’ ‘Songless Bird,’ ‘I Am The Bloody Earth,’ ‘The Cry Of Mankind,’ and ‘For You.’ “For Darkest Eyes” will also contain a full live set filmed in Krakow, Poland in 1996.
