THE FIXX / STARSHIP / WARRANT; House of Blues; Las Vegas, NV; 11/29/04

The Las Vegas House of Blues played host to a unique concert this evening. It was more like a showcase of bands that have had huge success in the past.

This showcase was a mix of all different types of music. When you've got bands as varied as Fixx, Starship, and Warrant, you know you're in for an eclectic evening!

The Fixx opened up the show at 7 PM to a half full Sin City venue. But these guys rocked hard. They pulled out all the stops.
Their lead vocalist sounded awesome - just like he did on their videos from the 80s on MTV. The growing Las Vegas crowd showed their approval with their applause and screams after each tune. Songs such as" "Stand or Fall," "Red Skies" and "Save By Zero" kicked ass.

Also on the HOB stage that evening was Mickey Thomas' Starship. Thomas sounds great vocally and makes a great front man for Starship. Songs such as "Jane," "We Built this City" and "Sara" are still fan favorites.

Unfortunately I could not stay for Warrant, but later heard that they kicked ass on stage. Front man Jaime St. James is very charismatic and has great vocal chops. Songs such as "Cheery Pie," "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Down Boys" reportedly brought the house down.
