Blue Oyster Cult, super rock band of the '70's and 80's, can now be officially called a super rock band of the 90's, because baby, they are back with a new CD ("Heaven Forbid" - see my CD review) and a live sound that is just too good to be missed.

From the opening song, "Don't Fear The Reaper," the band was in control and rocked the house just as we expected. This was my fourth BOC show and I enjoyed this show even more because they played some cuts from the new CD. "See You in Black" went over well with the crowd, almost as well as the classic "Godzilla." The music was alive and loud with the experience and dedication of rockers with 30+ years experience showed.

One of the most endearing qualities of BOC is their ability to make the music look easy and have fun doing it. They sound good, look good and they have a bitchin' new CD. They have a loyal following (http://www.bocfanclub.com) - what more can you ask for?

BOC is the kind of band that can evolve into the next Grateful Dead. They have an ultra loyal following, their music just keeps getting better and - according to their publicist - they're going to tour "until they die." They're already legends and it's a title they richly deserve - and have definitely earned.
