Demo review (by R. Scott Bolton): Shattered Soul pride themselves on their "true focus - Musical Integrity" and that focus stands tall throughout their 11-song demo. Each song throbs with a delicious guitar undertone that builds and drives toward the mostly melodic choruses. It's as pure as pure rock gets. My favorite song off the CD? The kick-ass fifth track, "Kathoga."
Other info: The band had some initial shows opening for some bands in the Pittsburgh area and also won a talent show geared toward rap and country. Their prize? A recording contract that could cost the band more than they could spare being on a low budget. Be careful out there, new bands!
