It was a very good, if not great, year for hard rock, heavy metal and punk. And 2009's looking pretty good, too. Here's my Top Ten albums for 2008, plus a few honorable mentions that almost made the cut. Again, they're not in any particular order with the exception of #1 which, surprisingly, was my very favorite album of the year.
