Round Four

RESULTS AS OF OCTOBER, 1999

Just when you thought the Unofficial Dirk Pitt Movie Poll would never be updated again - here it is! Our latest update. We'll be updating more often in the future; maybe as often as once-a-month. Check back to see if we keep that promise!

A couple of notes regarding our recent results:
1) We've stopped counting "No response" replies. Why? 'cause it's boring and, for the reasons of this poll, it doesn't make a lot of sense.

2) We don't count "fan club" votes. Sorry. How do we know we're getting "fan club" votes? When we get twenty e-mails a day all suggesting the same person play Dirk Pitt, we know something's afoot. Another clue is when someone suggests "Adrian Paul" for every role except Loren Smith and Admiral Sandecker - and then lists him as director as well.

Now that that's out of the way, here are the latest breakdowns of the Unofficial Dirk Pitt Movie Poll:

ST. JULIEN PERLMUTTER
Good ol' St. Julien proves to be one of the most puzzling categories. One would think - from Cussler's description of the man - that readers would choose someone of relatively massive girth and an image of overindulgence. John Rhys-Davies of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and "Sliders" fame maintained his lead as Dirk's maritime expert/gourmand but Dom DeLuise staying just behind, trailing by only two votes.
