ZERO 1 ZERO

"Degrees of Separation" (2 Records; 2007)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Zero 1 Zero is a industrial metal troupe from Cincinnati, OH whose 12-track disc, "Degrees of Separation" renders no surprises yet emanates a durable array of technically-enhanced aggression.

The obvious influences pop up all over here, as NIN, Static X, Stabbing Westward, and Sevendust can easily be cited as bands where this quartet drew inspiration from when creating tracks like "Bed of Nails," "Outside of the Inside," and the contagious "Fallen."

Adorned with a plethora of guitar effects, throbbing metallic dance beats, and enough darkwave tendencies and tortured vocals to keep the PVC-wearing crowd moving into the morning light.
