The next good band is always just around the corner and, if you don't take the time to stop and check it out, it may very well just pass you by.

Well, the Canadian metal band Warmachine came my way with their "The Beginning of the End" and I am very glad I took the time to check them out. This CD is classic metal with exceptional songwriting and, like a drink of cold water, The "Beginning of the End" is clear and bright and just what this weary musical reviewer needed to revive his faith that good music is yet to be found out there. You just have to keep looking for it.

I like this CD a lot. Right from the start, the music is simple and straight forward and very well performed. Based on what I hear on this CD, I bet this band is killer live.

The production of "The Beginning Of The End" is somewhat over-produced and a bit predictable but, overall, this CD is an outstanding example of how outstanding metal should sound.
