VERMILION WHISKEY

"Crimson & Stone" (10 South Productions; 2023)

Sometimes, a name is just a name. Sometimes, it's a brand. And on that rare occasion, it's a powerhouse. Well, the third option applies to Vermilion Whiskey and their recording "Crimson & Stone."

You never want to judge a book by its cover, but you have to admit that Vermilion Whiskey is one very cool band name! That being said, the music is equally as cool as the name. Double bonus! The band puts out a product that would feel at home at any rock venue in the world with a stung sound that just keeps getting better with each spin. If you need a comparison, think of Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society.

No frills, no bullshit, nothing hidden, just good solid rock that gets under your skin. In my opinion, if a band is good, it sounds better extremely loud and VW is just such a band. Turn this one up to 10!

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
