TRIP THE PLANET

"Trance" (Self-produced; 1999)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Trip The Planet's "Trance" is extreme in at least two directions. First, when they put a metal edge on their music, it rocks like nobody's business; it's straight to the point hard music that is both enjoyable and refreshing.

On the flip side, however, when Trip plays slow, melodic music - it leaves a lot to be desired and becomes overly mushy. With the harder music and a better producer, Trip the Planet may have something powerful to offer after all.

TRIP THE PLANET is Brett Soliday, vocals; Rich Varvil, guitar; Jim Woltz, bass; T. Bamboa, drums.
