TREMULUS

"What I've Become" (Statue Records)

It took me a few spins to finally get where Tremulus was coming from on "What I've Become." But now that I'm fully onboard, I find myself really liking this very talented band.

When I listened closely to the lyrics, I was transformed by the deeply intense and personal message the band was communicating. "What I've Become" got me thinking and its strong lyrics did that almost effortlessly.

Truthfully, I really did not like this CD at first. I thought the band was pretentious and the CD over-produced. However, after a bit I really fell for Tremulus.

Hard and heavy is what Tremulus is all about and - from what I have heard on "What I've Become" - this band must really put on a kick ass live show. I'm glad I gave this CD a second chance, because a Tremulus fan is "What I've Become."
