"Time Travelin' Coach" (Empire Musicwerks; 2004)

I can only assume that this CD was sent to Rough Edge for review because we often review rap rock. And, as the semi-official rap rock reviewer for RoughEdge.com, the disc made its way to me.
Unfortunately, I can describe Toothpick's "Time Travelin' Coach" with one word: yuck! The music here is a sickly sweet rap and R&B mixture that truly hurt my heavy metal essence.
In all actuality, Toothpick's "Time Travelin' Coach" probably shouldn't be reviewed here at Rough Edge. It's guitar driven hip hop that's got nothing to do with hard rock, heavy metal or punk. Still, they sent it to us and we're reviewing it. And it just ain't our cup of tea.
"Time Travelin' Coach" gets 1/2 guitarsaw because the title track is just a tiny bit cool, but the rest of it bored the life out of me.
Rating Guide:
A classic. This record will kick your ass.
Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.
So-so. You've heard better.
Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.
Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
