TISHAMINGO

"The Point" (Magnatude; 2007)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Allow me to start this review by saying I like music of all types: hard rock, heavy metal, punk and classic rock such as John Mellencamp, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, The Rolling Stones, etc. Tishamingo falls closer to the classic rock genre.

From the opening chords of this CD, quality rock'n'roll bursts forth with a velvet torrent and the music stimulated my musical sweet tooth nicely. A dose of Southern rock, in the vein of Lynyrd Skynyrd or Molly Hatchet, Tishamingo heavy uses influence from the past to honor the genre and again to put their stamp to make a truly unique sound.

Fans of good solid rock'n'roll will like Tishamingo just like I do.
