TERROR GARDEN

"Terror Garden" (Independent; 2026)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

Terror Garden's self-titled debut album is a slab of snarling rock'n'roll in the vein of Guns N'Roses, Motley Crue and the like. It's got aggressive vocals, a pounding rhythm section, chunky riffs, screaming leads and clever lyrics. Yeah, it's all that. The whole package.

Speaking of clever lyrics, the album begins with "Supermodel Virus," a steam hammer of a track with the lyrics "Life is fading away, every day, like a Supermodel." It's a great way to start things off and does so with quite a punch. "Piss Drunk" is next, a slithering track that'll make you wanna move like Axl Rose. Track #3 is "Hollow," which crushes relatively slowly, like a bulldozer. Like "Piss Drunk," this track features some killer lead guitar. "No Time to Waste" is up next and it gallops along like an Iron Maiden song while featuring more stunning guitar work. Track five is "Dopesick," sadly the weakest track here, but some fiery lead near the end brightens things up. "Relapse," at only 97 seconds, closest the album out and it's just a bluesy instrumental cruise, the kind of music you'd expect to find in a bar in a private detective movie. Fun stuff.

Overall, Terror Garden's "Terror Garden" is certainly worth a listen. I look forward to hearing more from the band.
