SUPERBEAST

"Cold Blooded Killing" (Self-released; 2023)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

Superbeast goes over the top on "Cold Blooded Killing," endangering the health and welfare of many of its members.

The drumming is psycho furious, and I'm certain that there are many instances of the drummer accidentally knitting his arms and perhaps feet together as he tries to keep up the breakneck pace.

The guitars and bass are so fast, for the most part, it'll make your head swim. Literally.

The vocals are blood-curdling and corpse-like. If the dead rose to sing black and/or death metal, this is what it would sound like.

All told, this is one hellacious tornado of an album. If you're into this type of music—and, trust me, you have to be into this kind of music to let "Cold Blooded Killing" take control of your mind—then you've gotta check this out. If you're even a tiny bit meek or sheltered, seriously, stay the fuck away.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
