SOBERNOT

"Destroy" (Independent; 2022)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

With its furiously thrashing guitars, its bone-breaking rhythm section and razor vocals, Sobernot cuts through you like a chainsaw on "Destroy."

"Destroy" is a fiery album from start to finish, ten tracks of brutal metal with angry and grim lyrics that fit the music's tone like a glove.

I love the bass riffs here, as well as the high-voltage guitars and driving paces. The album is also expertly mixed and each sound comes through clearly and sharply despite the chaotic feel.

Need to release some rage? Then listening to Sobernot's "Destroy" might just do it for you. Of course, if might also do the opposite so be aware. Listen often, but listen with caution.
