SKINT

"Dead End to Glory" (Self-released)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Skint, another Warped Tour 2005 find, is a heavy punk outfit that does for punk what System Of A Down does for metal. Politics play a big role in Skint's music but, unlike other politically charged bands, the ranting did not bring this project down. Actually, it made it even more fun and enjoyable. It was like reading a politically slanted magazine for just over 32 minutes while listening to some old school punk rock.

Obviously, I may not agree with everything Skint says on "Dead End to Glory" but I like the way they throw it all out there for their listeners to analyze, evaluate and consider.

Props to Skint for speaking their mind and keeping it fast and loud at the same time!

Skint: Jason Oram - guitar; Jacon Rollins - drums; Joe Average - vocals; George Evans - bass; Hal Rarick - guitar.

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
