I lucked into seeing Skarhead when they opened for Motorhead at the Palace in Hollywood, CA, (click here to see our review) and let me tell you they kicked some serious metal ass. This singers in this band take turns assaulting the audience with their screaming rap vocals and the guitarist adds his vocal explosion to the mix occasionally. Skarhead gets my pick as the Ultimate Party Band of 1999. They blend rap and heavy metal into a strange combination of talent, high energy and lyrical content that attains a level of musical originality that is almost unheard of in today's metal scene. High energy metal mixed with a killer live gig makes Skarhead one bitchin' band and this disc is the one currently getting the most play in my CD player. Skarhead will be touring with the Vans Warped Tour '99.

Quoting from the CD jacket, Skarhead is: "Vocal disasters: Lord Ezec, Lou Dibella, Boston Mike; guitar assault team: Mitts, White Owl; bass mafia: Little Tony; God of thunder (and occasional drums): Goat." Gotta love that shit.
