SINCE THE DAY

"El Mansajero No Le Importante" (Bastardized; 2005)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Since The Day's "El Mansajero No Ie Importante" is a quarrel between two different musical factions. On one hand, the music is exceptional - full of life and a good strong form of metal. On the other hand, however, the vocals are more of the screaming that is too often called singing these days.

There is a time and place for the harsh vocal style, but it isn't all the time and it's not on every song. If I cannot differentiate between songs because the vocals are so one-dimensional, something is wrong.

Were Since the Day to ease back on the vocal extremes, this CD would be a much better listen.
