SILENT SHOT

"Silent Shot" (Self-released; 2013)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

North Hollywood, CA quartet Silent Shot supplies five bruising metallic melodies on their latest release.

Focused with crushing riffs and brawny vocals (“Destroy the Mass”), this troupe definitely enjoys Mudvayne judging by their similar sounding style (especially vocally), but also throws in borrowed bits from Machine Head, 80s thrash, and some of metalcore’s best chorus-makers (“Fat Shit”) to concoct their slab of modern heaviness.
