SICK TRIGGER

"The Stand" (Mind Shank Records; 2004)

Reviewed by Snidermann

It is very refreshing to hear good, solid, mature heavy metal and Sick Trigger delivers that in large quantities.

The music here is hard, well thought-out, fun and - most of all - very enjoyable. I think the thing I most appreciate on "The Stand' is the talent of this band both musically and vocally. Far too many bands these days depend too much on overly aggressive, screaming vocals instead of a using a real singer. On "The Stand," Sick Trigger's Keith really knows how to use his voice and the backup vocals of the rest of the band are great, too.

Also features is a cool interview with the band at the end of the CD. This interview really shows what this band is about and where they are coming from.

This band from Bakersfield, California is one talented and dynamic outfit.

Sick Trigger: T. Sick - guitar and vocals; , JD Dolen - bass and vocals; Keith - lead vocals; Curly Ford - drums; Rick Trigger - guitar and vocals.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
