SHUN
"Shun" (Small Stone Records; 2021)
Reviewed by Snidermann
I am always on the lookout for new music to review so I check out the New Releases section of RoughEdge for any music I may be interested in or bands I may not have heard of. Try it yourself at http://www.roughedge.com/releasecalendar-2020.htm, there's so much new music out there! I got my latest band to review from that list.
Shun. What a great name for a band! Four letters and to the point just like Rush, Styx and Gwar just to name a few. Shun's self-titled release is good rock'n'roll music that is fun, easy to listen to. It gets your blood pumping and basically helps you get through at least the next few minutes.
That is what Shun did for me: quality presentation, great songwriting ability, good production and a shitload of attitude combine to make Shun one band to look out for. I expect great things from this band. I can only imagine what they would be like live but I have a hunch they'd be great!
This shit is for real and, even after numerous spins, I still find myself really liking this recording.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.
Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
