SHOWOFF
"Showoff" (Maverick Recording Company; 1999)

Never heard of Showoff? You will. These guys have put together a very competent CD for Madonna's Maverick record label. It is very close to a Green Day sound. This effort is full of well-crafted, catchy, pop punk love-themed songs. I am a total sucker for this type of music. The song "Fallen Star" is beginning to get some radio airplay, and I bet you anything it will pick up steam. "Ralphie" is also destined to be a radio hit.
If you like Green Day, this CD is an easy bet.
Showoff : Graham Jordon on guitar; Dan Castady, drumming; Chris Envy doing the singing; Dave Envy playing bass, and - even though I'm not in the band, you can call me Penis Envy.
Rating Guide:
A classic. This record will kick your ass.
Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.
So-so. You've heard better.
Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.
Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
