SAVIOURS
"Into Abaddon" (Kemado Records; 2008)

Rock'n'roll in its many forms keep us alive and kicking here at Rough Edge and, when I got a chance to review Saviours, I jumped at it. This recording is called "Into Abaddon" and the CD is named that for good reason. Power music is the norm in this very well done release. This band really knows how to propel their music forward.
Now for the other shoe to drop: the vocals are forced and one dimensional and do not vary at all from one song to the next.
Final opinion: great and powerful music, fair to lower midlin vocals.

"Crucifire" (Level Plane; 2006)
Reviewed by Mike SOS
Saviours have once again summoned up the demons to command an outstanding, eight-track effigy of evil with "Crucifire."
"Crucifire" is unabashed, no frills, real deal metal. Played by five guys who exhibit incredible chops, this CD and its wet-dream inducing triple guitar assault and sadistic songwriting prowess taps the veins of so many of metal, hardcore, and punk rock's greatest. It's Mastodon meets Thin Lizzy at a Motorhead barbecue where Slayer and Venom are playing dominoes and High on Fire and Iron Maiden are flipping burgers while Metallica and Megadeth play chicken in the pool. And that's just some abridged examples of Saviours' chugging downtuned brilliance on "Christ Hunt" and the mesmerizing musical passages which adorn "Heathen Eye."
Crossing over in the most delightful of ways, "Crucifire" is a triumphant album brimming with punk metallic pride which needs to be cranked at 11 at all times.
Horns up high for this one folks, it truly deserves the accolades.
