SANITORIUM

"Goresoaked Reincarnation" (Sevared; 2000)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Sanitorium's nine-track release opens up with a carnival organ, so you know you're in for something weird from the outset. This Slovakian death metal troupe's style contains the vocal gurgling, the blast beats, and the slash and burn guitar work that most death metal acts employ, and -- when coupled with song titles like "Deeds of Pedophile" and "Bastard Saints" -- it's a safe bet that Sanitorium isn't going to get any mainstream radio play.

Nonetheless, if you dig the sludgy death metal vibe, you might want to check out this European band for yourself.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
