7 MONTHS

"In Time" (Active Mind; 2009)

Reviewed by Snidermann

When a band is good you know right from the first note. Well, the magic happened again when I started listening to 7 Months and their recording, "In Time."

I guess you could call them progressive; I just call them rock'n'roll - and very talented rock'n'roll at that. Each instrument stands out as a uniquely original entity that adds superbly to the whole.

Now, as much as I like this CD, I really can’t get what they're trying to say here. I know there is a story to be found, but for the life of me I can’t figure it out. I even had the lyrics in front of me and I still can’t figure out the storyline. Oh well, I guess I will just have to enjoy the band and the music without trying to figure out the story. At least for now.
