ROYAL HUNT
"Collision Course" (Magna Carta; 2008)
Reviewed by Snidermann
Royal Hunt was originally formed in 1989 and this is the first time I get a chance to review them. Well, better late than never.
Andre Andersen, (the brainchild of Royal Hunt) started playing the piano at the age of five then, later, he listened to Deep Purple’s classic "In Rock" and the influence of that recording had him never looking back.
Royal Hunt's "Collision Course," has a classical/rock'n'roll flavor that puts up a great sound and also tells a remarkable story. The music utilizes Andre Andersen’s classical music training to make a hybrid type of rock that is fresh and extremely easy to listen to.
