RIGHT OF CENTER
Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton
Right of Center says their sound "is a blend of classic rock roots with a contemporary cutting edge. A twist of metal adds to the thundering guitar, soul-quenching vocals and heavy grooves with a refreshing new flavor." Hey! Who's the band and who's the reviewer here? Okay, in all fairness, Right of Center's description is pretty dead on.
Right of Center are a hard-rocking band with a great sound that is alive with charisma and power. Todd Bourg's guitars are razor-sharp and he knows when to chunk it up and when to shred. The band writes flowing songs that will sound even better live. Vocalist Tyler Browne has a unique post-grunge tone that really reaches out and grabs you. The three songs on the demo - "Pray," "Call to Arms," and "Float" - are notable because each has its own tempo and style but the band's passionate performance makes each unique.
RIGHT OF CENTER: Tyler Browne - vocals; Todd Bourg - guitars; Billy Browne - drums; Allan Edwards - bass.
