RAMPANT DECAY / KRUDS

"Split 7" (Patac; 2011)

I don't know what to say, so, I'll just let you click the link and listen to this yourself: http://patacrecords.bandcamp.com/album/rampant-decay-kruds-split-7. Actually, I guess I do have something to say, but it won't be good. This is a split 7" EP between Rampant Decay and Kruds. Kruds go first with four songs ... well, more like punk and hardcore music with some spoken word intro from Mike Tyson. The music is fast and the lyrics are screamed at you. This may be music to some people but I can't label it.

Next up are Rampant Decay. They only have two songs here and together those equal less than four minutes. The music is pretty good but the vocals are junk. Growling and chanting, I couldn't understand a word. Then again, I don't think I'm supposed to anyway.

Here are the bands song titles for those interested: Kruds: 1. Hatchet Face. 2. Dead Bent. 3. Advantage / Harlot. 4. Chumbawumba / Fuck Charles Day. Rampant Decay: 1. Political Lemmings. 2. King Of The Trash.

Hey, it may not be my cup of tea but it might be yours. The download is free, at least for the moment. Why not give it a listen?

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
