THE QUIET ROOM

"Reconceive" (Metal Blade; 2000)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Metal Blade Records has another winner with the band The Quiet Room and their release "Reconceive." Each song showcases the band's unique songwriting and musical ability and each tune is starkly different from the next, making for a pleasurable listening experience.

The range of emotions on this release is wide and varied and this alone makes the CD well worth the listening effort. One aspect worth noting that I thought was unique about The Quiet Room was their use of the piano alongside the traditional metal instruments. Very cool.

The Quiet Room is Pete Jewell vocals, Jason Boudreau guitar vocals, George Glasco guitars, Jeff Janeczko keyboard piano, Rob Munshower bass and Graeme Wood drums vocals.

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
