PROTESTANT

"Reclamation" (Halo of Flies; 2012)

Reviewed by Mike SOS

Milwaukee, WI unit Protestant is a mainstay on the underground Midwest scene and their gritty five-track offering "Reclamation" shows why.

Developing an undeniably hardcore sound where melody and d-beat converge (“Unbecoming:”), this quartet make an unsettling din brazen with raw emotion and capped off with stellar songwriting that fans of Cursed and His Hero is Gone should have little problem digging (“Salad Days”).
