POWND

"Circle of Power" (Nightmare; 2006)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Pownd's "Circle of Power" is one killer CD. When I put the disc in the player in for the first time, I knew I was in for a special ride as soon as the music started.

"Circle of Power" has a sound that is larger than life with higher-than-usual production values that take it up yet another notch. As I got further into the disc, the music just kept getting better and -- after numerous spins -- I think I finally have the style and heart of Pownd in my grasp. It took awhile to get it straight in my head but I can sum it up easily: It rocks! There is no better analysis than that.

This entire CD is tight from top to bottom and everything in between is pure rock'n'roll fun. This band has learned a lot from bands of the past and they have taken that knowledge and developed a highly talented and inspirational music experience.
