POINT 1

"Unlucky Stars" (Adrenaline; 2007)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Hard working bands are what make the music industry work; bands like Point One.

On "Unlucky Stars," Point 1 has all the right aspects in place: quality music, better than average vocals and songwriting ability.  Hard music that is in-your-face, it almost made my ears bleed on some tracks. Man, that shit is what I call metal fun!

"Unlucky Stars" reveals Point 1's approach to music. It's refreshing, well written and well performed, and they make music that is both entertaining and deep. All of that makes "Unlucky Stars" a step above everything else going on in the music scene today.

"Unlucky Stars" is unpredictable; you'll have no idea where the band is going next. Each cut is a finely crafted tune that travels down interesting rock'n'roll roads, all leading to destinations that are extremely fun and enjoyable.

I have spun this CD three times and have discovered different aspects each time and I find that exhilarating.  What an all around listening pleasure!
