PLASTILINOVY JINN

"We Are" (Self-released; 2005)

Reviewed by Snidermann

If a band is going to impress me when I can't understand the lyrics, the music better be killer. When I listen to "We Are" by Kazakhstan's Plastilinovy Jinn's, the CD occasionally shows some signs of rock'n'roll liveliness, but mostly the music is too slow and uneventful. Without being able to follow the band lyrically, the overall effect is just dullness and boredom.

I'll give the band credit for strong production values and they certainly get points for effort but this is not the kind of music I'll be listening to again soon, if ever.
