OTHERWISE
"Peace at All Costs" (Century Media Records; 2014)

Otherwise are a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada and
this is one sure bet if you're looking for a band that's got power and lyrics
that will scratch your brain. This is their fourth disc overall and their second
on a major label and I'm glad I stumbled onto them because now I've got some
back catalogue to visit. Otherwise have a great hard rock sound, heavy drums,
wicked riffs and soulful guitar solos. Adrian Patrick has a solid voice. He's
got power and keeps a melodic tone going at all times.
The lyrical content of "Peace at All Costs" is full of heart and emotion. You'll
hear some great lines and probably think about things differently after
absorbing their melodic prose. It's worth a listen or two, or maybe three. Each
song tells a story about struggle but never defeat; it's an ongoing theme in
their lyrics.
Thirteen tracks fill this disc with more music and
emotion than I've heard in a long time. Give Otherwise a listen. I'm sure you'll
bookmark their official site and revisit it often.
The band: Adrian Patrick - Lead vocals; Ryan Patrick - Lead guitar, vocals;
Corky Gainsford - Drums, vocals, programming; Vassilios Metropoulos - Bass
Guitar; Andrew Pugh - Rhythm Guitar.
