Straight outta Sacramento comes Oleander with their debut CD, "February Son." The song "Why I'm Here" has recently become a hit for these dudes on alternative radio but, truth be told, it's the "Rough Edge" songs on the album that are Oleander's REALLY good songs. You won't hear "Stupid" or
"You'll Find Out" on the radio but those two songs kick some serious ass, especially when you are as "sedated" as I am now. These guys also do an AWESOME, "heavy" cover of the ultra-wimpy Cure song "Boys Don't Cry" which I have been doing a lot of lately since my fuckin' boss at my other job fired me. So, in closing, I'd like to say FUCK YOU, HANK!

Oleander is: Thomas Flowers, Ric Ivanisevich, Doug Eldridge, Fred Nelson, Jr.

Rating Guide:

A classic. This record will kick your ass.

Killer. Not a classic but it will rock your world.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
