EVAN OLSON
"One Room" (Cherry/Universal Records)

If your musical preferences tend toward slow, melodic rock you will love Evan Olson and his release, "One Room." The music is good, but it lacks any kind of power or edge. The lyrics are a bit intriguing, but I found almost all the music lacking.
Olson does an interesting cover of America's tune "Tin Man" and the first cut has a hook that is very interesting, but other than that I found the CD way too slow and ultimately boring. Still, 1½ chainsaws for the two tunes I found palatable.

So-so. You've heard better.
Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.
Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
