NO WARNING
Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton
"Ill Blood" will get your blood boiling. It's superb hardcore, with guitars and vocals that are equally loud and raging. That's been the end of too many hardcore bands - too extreme on the vocals or too extreme on the guitars and you end up with a noisy mess. Not so with No Warning. The songs hereon (12 of 'em in the course of just over 26 minutes!) are written, performed and recorded in a manner that keeps them sane without losing an ounce of their rock fury.
My personal favorites are the opening tune, "Behind These Walls," with its killer riff opening and (interestingly enough) the final and title track, "Ill Blood," which explodes like a musical grenade.
I've heard No Warning favorably compared to Biohazard but, I gotta tell ya, in my opinion, they're even better.
No Warning: Ben Cook - vocals; Matt Delong - guitar; Jordan Posner - guitar; Ryan Gavel - bass; D.J. - drums.
