NO RETREAT

"Rise of the Underdog" (Da'Core)

Reviewed by Snidermann

No Retreat's "Rise Of The Underdog" is a contradiction in terms. Let me explain: The music is simple, straight to the point, tribal stomp metal that rocks to its very core. However, the vocals are nothing but a sustained grumbling scream, one that does not fluctuate at all throughout the entire release.

I wouldn't say No Retreat is bad, it's just not for me. Still, I'll give them two chainsaws because metal music in any form in a shitload better than no metal at all.
