NO FEAR

"Our Saying" (Nightmare Records)

Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton

No Fear is an Italian band whose talent as musicians cannot be denied. Each band member has something to offer here - from the wide range of guitar sounds, to the sometimes Bruce Dickinson-like vocals, to the powerful drumming and bass-lines.

Unfortunately, the band's songs simply don't stand out. They're not bad tunes, they just aren't the kind of songs that make you want to hear the CD again and again. "Our Saying" never really grabs the listener.

Still, the band's technical prowess and charisma make them worth a listen. They may not be Iron Maiden or Helloween but - in a world thirsty for great music - they're certainly worth a shot.

No Fear: Dario Tiralongo-vocals & keyboards, Giuseppe Cristaudo-guitars & backing vocals, Massimiliano Ricciardo-bass & backing vocals, and Andrea Ricciardini-drums & backing vocals.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.
