MIDEVIL
"Forced to Believe" (Latticesphere; 1999)
Reviewed by Snidermann
The band is Midevil and their sound is heavy and aggressive metal with a message that becomes apparent from the opening note. Tight, Pantera-like metal belts out of the speakers like musical liquid energy. "Forced to Believe" is Midevil's third self-produced release and they rock like gangbusters from beginning to end on this EP. I found myself rocking and getting into the music as soon as I hit the play button and - in my book - that's the sign of a killer band! Good, strong metal that won't let you take it lightly, Midevil is, in a word, fabulous. Rock on, Midevil!
Midevil: Eugene Plasscak, drums; Jon Pamblanco, vocals and guitars and Scott Vesely, bass and keys.
Also available from Midevil are two full-length CDs, "Thee Almighty" and "Expiration Date" as well as t-shirts, baseball caps and posters. For more information, check out http://latticesphere.com/heavymetal.asp.
