"Utility of Useless Things" (Basement Apes; 2005)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Membrane's "Utility of Useless Things" is a high energy rock/punk/hardcore mix and, as such, is adequate. The music is forceful and in-your-face but has little or no style to give it form.

If this CD were reigned in, realigned and redefined to give it some direction and purpose, it would have much more to offer. However, the chaos captured here -- while it might work in a live setting -- doesn't really click in the recorded media.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
