MASTER'S CALL

"A Journey for the Damned" (Warner Bros.; 2023 )

Reviewed by Snidermann

Gritty, gravelly and growly (the three G's of metal music—hey, I like that!) is not always required, but often appreciated. Each song on Master's Call's "A Journey for the Damned" is a finely crafted musical memento. To say the band is intense is an understatement. Plenty of screaming and growling vocals, thunderous bass and drums, killer guitar work and a shitload of attitude that is well worth the effort.

I like to mix my musical experiences up and death/black metal is on that list. "Journey For The Damned" is one great fucking recording. One of the only drawbacks to this recording is the length. I wanted more! Well, you know what? I'm just going to go back and listen again!
