MACABRE
"Murder Metal" (Season of Mist; 2003)

Sometimes just the tracklisting of a CD will let you know what to expect from a band. Following is the tracklisting for this CD:
"Acid Bath Vampire"
"You're Dying To Be With Me"
"Fatal Foot Fetish"
"The Hillside Stranglers"
"Dorthea's Dead Folks Home"
"The Iceman"
"Poison"
"Werewolf of Bedburg"
"Morbid Minister"
"The Wustenfeld Man Eater"
"Diary Of Torture"
"Jack The Ripper"
"Fritz Haarman Der Metzger"
Just from those song titles, you should have an idea of what to expect from
Macabre - and you'd probably be right. This Chicago-based band has put true crimes
(including murder) to music in a dark, sick and very twisted way - I love it! This shit is sinister, warped, grisly and more than a little entertaining.
I truthfully could not believe what was coming out of my CD player. Loud and in your face with no excuses, no veiled meanings, just mysterious storylines and music that is simply fucking brilliant and completely original.
You can sample this band at their website and I suggest you do. If you like what you hear, and I'm willing to bet you will, buy this CD immediately! It blew my fucking socks off!
