LUCID SINS
Reviewed by R. Scott Bolton
Lucid Sins' "Cursed!" is a progressive rock record which very much reminded me of something the Alan Parsons' Project might do. The album contains eight tracks of often keyboard-heavy rock'n'roll with a psychedelic atmosphere that roll along at a steady pace, each song feeling like a chapter of an overall, album-length story.
My favorite tracks were "Snake Eyes" with its ominous guitar and the Blue Oyster Cult-like "By Your Hand."
Fans of bands like the aforementioned Alan Parson's Project and Blue Oyster Cult will find "Cursed!" worth a listen, as will fans of Emerson Lake & Palmer and even Pink Floyd.
