MYLES KENNEDY

"The Art of Letting Go" (Napalm Records; 2024)

Reviewed by Snidermann

Myles Kennedy, a voice of rock music for the past few decades who has used his talent for bands such as Alter Bridge, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators (what a great name for a band, I mean, seriously!), The Mayfield Four and Kings of Chaos. Just go to Wikipedia and look up Kings of Chaos. I hate to use the term supergroup but, when you see who is in this group and who was in this band, I think the term supergroup is appropriate.

The name of this recording is "The Art of Letting Go" and it travels the gamut of rock music from the ballad to hard rock (and, with it of course, rock), great riff-driven music and a shitload of charisma combined with some serious songwriting

Kennedy is not the best singer in heavy rock; however, his personal magnetism literately explodes from the recording. I have to say whatever recording Myles Kennedy is associated with seems to rock like a bitch and in my opinion, that puts him right up there with one of the most marketable names in the rock industry.

"The Art of Letting Go" was released on October 11, 2024 and I am really pissed at myself because I wanted to listen to this recording the minute it came out. Oh well. I may be a few days late but I've listened to it a few times now and it still kicks rock'n'roll ass. This recording is so well put together that it gets better with each and every spin.

One thing I have figured with with this recording (and any band mentioned and associated with with Myles Kennedy), is that they are all worth the listen and I am going to have to go witness them for myself.
