KRYPTIC

"Premature Burial" (Self-Produced)

Reviewed by Rose Grech

Baltimore's Kryptic released their second LP, "Premature Burial," in 2000. This interesting metal album contains many different elements of metal music. Unfortunately, the band broke up shortly thereafter.

On "Premature Burial," the vocals range from harsh, demonic screams to a loud, clear shriek. Each song sounds different with a variety of guitar solos, speedy guitar riffs, great drumbeats and, at times, slower melodies. This album truly comprises a wide range of metal sounds that is refreshing to hear.

Kryptic: Curt Shaw, Bones, Kim Yates, Don Fowler.

So-so. You've heard better.

Pretty bad. Might make a nice coaster.

Self explanatory. Just the sight of the cover makes you wanna hurl.
