KILL HANNAH

"For Never & Ever" (Atlantic)

Reviewed by Snidermann

There were aspects of Kill Hannah's "For Never & Ever" that I really liked, but none of them had to do with hard rock or heavy metal. Instead, the band sports an 80s new wave sound that brings to mind bands like Flock of Seagulls and Duran Duran. Which is fine if you're into that kind of music but, if you are, you probably wouldn't be reading a review on Rough Edge.

Sometimes the band kicks it into high gear a little and that's when they're at the best although the vocals never really change and that gets to be a drag rather quickly.

The highlight of the CD is easily the track entitled "Kennedy," a song about what it must be like to be a Kennedy with all their wealth and privileges.

Kill Hannah's "For Never & Ever" may not be my cup of tea, but I can certainly see how others might enjoy it. Check out some of their tunes online and decide for yourself.
